Post 9 – trevor’s guest lecture about marketing & monetization

Trevor’s guest lecture for this week was very insightful and interesting specially with his personal projects that he shared with us. His personal experiences of small business like the Paper Route and selling custom candle holders were interesting and also showed me that one can do a business and make money from any idea they can come up with. His ideas on monetizing our websites and the different ways a student can do it were insightful as well, it even makes me consider taking up courses with Trevor to learn more about his ideologies.   

Diving into the intricacies of analytics, particularly through platforms like Google, Facebook, and Twitter, unfolded a profound understanding of its pivotal role in audience development. As content creators, deciphering the behavioral patterns of our readers on the website emerged as a game-changer. Analytics became the compass guiding us to create tailored content, pinpointing the optimal posting times, and refining engagement strategies.

Understanding the preferences and tendencies of our audience allowed for a more personalized and resonant content creation process. It wasn’t just about the what, but also the when and how.
